In 2022, the gaming industry has an astonishing audience of over 3.2 billion gamers, and the global games market is estimated to generate revenue of just under $197 billion. But in an industry filled with fierce competition, it’s inevitable that, while many games succeed, some will flop to cost investors and the industry millions each year.
Through the utilization of Linkfluence data, we analyzed how each game in 2022 performed, by looking at the number of social media posts, online positive and negative sentiment data, and Google search volume around the month of the release. The data was then indexed to determine which game had the worst online month.
